Combining the human touch with digital efficiency
ASN Bank — previously part of De Volksbank and since July 2025 operating under its own name — continues to combine personal service with strong digital channels. With over 650 branches and 4,000 employees, the bank is committed to “banking with a human touch”: close, personal, and secure.
But behind the scenes, managing content across multiple brands and channels was complex. Microcopy — small pieces of text like button labels, form instructions, and inline guidance — was fragmented and sometimes embedded directly in code. Editors couldn’t update it without technical releases, which meant content often lagged behind and consistency was hard to maintain.
To solve this, ASN Bank expanded its XperienCentral (XC) environment with a dedicated headless CMS. This shift allowed content to be managed centrally and published in real time across every channel.
Smarter content management for multiple brands
With dozens of websites, mobile apps, and front-end applications, keeping content consistent is a constant challenge. While XC was already used for websites, microcopy remained scattered. This created three major issues:
- Updates required technical releases, so no real-time editing was possible
- Content management was fragmented across different channels
- Shared content couldn’t be flexibly managed across all brands
Editors needed a user-friendly system that gave them control, visibility, and efficient workflows.
Headless CMS for centralized content and real-time updates
ASN Bank enhanced its existing XperienCentral (XC) environment with a dedicated headless CMS. By separating content storage from presentation, updates can now be rolled out instantly across all front-end and mobile applications—without the need for additional software releases.
All content is stored centrally and delivered to every channel through human-readable JSON, while each brand retains the flexibility to manage its own copy with controlled access rights. Thanks to integration with the OTAP pipeline, imports and exports stay perfectly aligned across development, testing, and production environments.
This setup not only simplifies the process of adding new channels but also makes it easy to share content with external systems such as PEGA.
