PSV Eindhoven, famous for unforgettable Champions League nights and the vibrant atmosphere in the Philips Stadium, has been connecting generations of fans from all walks of life. What once began with cheering from the stands is now evolving into a digital experience that brings supporters together worldwide.

 

PSV’s previous website already won multiple awards, but the club wanted to raise the bar. Fans today expect more than news and scores—they want an experience that feels relevant, loads quickly, is easy to navigate, and adapts to who they are and where they are—whether at home, on the go, in Eindhoven, or in New York.

Data and personalization as the driving force

PSV collects data from website interactions, social media, and ticketing, and centralizes it in the Customer Data Platform BlueConic. This creates rich fan profiles based on interests, favorite players, and viewed statistics. The CMS XperienCentral translates these insights into dynamic, personalized content. Content blocks display match updates, merchandise, and club news tailored to each visitor’s context.
Thanks to the modular, API-first architecture, editorial and marketing teams can launch new campaigns and personalizations without technical obstacles.

Smart design, strong fan experience

The design blends PSV’s digital identity with powerful sports elements such as photography, video, club colors, statistics, and social media. Dynamic content containers (“cards”) keep the site structured and flexible, automatically adapting to fan behavior and interests.
Following the principle of Content Aware Design, content scales with screen size and user type, ensuring clarity and accessibility—whether browsing on desktop or mobile. Subtle animations and interactive features make the experience lively and intuitive.

Connected worldwide, always relevant

The platform is multilingual (Dutch, English, German) and fully mobile-first, making every supporter feel at home no matter their device or location. The site continuously learns from each visit and adapts content to fan profiles: a young season ticket holder sees different highlights than an international fan mainly following player stats. This strengthens both loyalty and engagement.

Even before launch, PSV.nl was awarded Website of the Year 2024 in the Football Clubs category, with a public rating of 9.6—a clear sign that data, design, and fan focus deliver results.

PSV Play – exclusive content for fans

PSV Play is the club’s video platform, offering documentaries, interviews, extended match highlights, series like PSV Inside, and live matches. GX launched the platform by delivering the frontend and JWPlayer integration, creating an OTT-style experience comparable to Netflix or Disney+—but fully centered on PSV content.
This approach not only improves the fan experience but also gives the club control over its content and data. Even if external social platforms impose restrictions, PSV’s unique video library and fan data remain secure within its own ecosystem.
